Bashful Aqua Bunny (Small)
Retired: Yes — date unknown
The beloved Bashful Aqua Bunny makes a delightful appearance in her small size, featuring that signature blue-turquoise hue that captures the essence of underwater serenity. With her characteristic long, floppy ears and adorable black button eyes, this charming soft toy embodies the gentle spirit of the Aqua series. The small Bashful Aqua Bunny was originally released in 2014 as part of a three-piece collection, and her pink nose adds the perfect finishing touch to her sweet expression.

About Bashful Aqua Bunny
The Bashful Aqua Bunny is one of the more unusual colourways Jellycat gave its most familiar shape: the standard Bashful rabbit — long floppy ears, hard black eyes, a pink nose, a bean-weighted bottom that lets it slump — done in a blue-turquoise rather than the beige or cream most people picture. That single decision is why collectors chase it. The silhouette is comfortingly ordinary; the colour is not, and among a shelf of neutral Bashfuls an aqua one reads immediately as something the current range no longer offers.
It came in three sizes, all of which we hold, and independent catalogue sources place its release at 2014 and its retirement around 2019. Two of our three rows say 2016 instead, which we think is wrong — treat the year as approximate either way, and the day as unknown. It no longer appears in Jellycat's own index.
One caution when shopping: a separate Blossom Aqua Bunny exists, and sellers mix the two names freely. Listings for both turn up under the same searches, so check the pattern on the ears before you commit.
- Exact release and retirement dates — no archive.org coverage of Jellycat's own page for this design, so both are year-level at best.
- Whether Jellycat's own copy called the colour 'aqua' as a shade name or described it differently; we have no primary wording.
- Retirement year for the Small (BASS6AQ) and Tiny (BAB6AQ) rows, which carry no retirement bounds of their own despite being retired.
- Whether the three sizes were released simultaneously.
- Real sale prices — all price signal we hold is live asking prices, which say nothing about what anything sold for.
