About Finley Bear
Finley is a grizzly cub built out of texture. Jellycat's own copy for him is unusually specific — "one tussly grizzly, with rumpled, ruffled milk-chocolate fur," with "big squashy paws and a cocoa nose" to help him "trundle through the woods" — and that ruffled pile is genuinely the whole point of him. Finley's fur is crimped and unruly, so he photographs as scruffier and reads as older and more lived-in than he is. He arrived in 2021, possibly in three sizes; we know the year but not the day, so the release is shown as a range.
He is gone now. Jellycat's European product page for the medium (FIN4B) flipped from out-of-stock in June 2024 to Discontinued by January 2025 and has stayed that way, and none of the three sizes appear in Jellycat's live index across our last five checks. Stockists we track are uniformly sold out.
