About Personalised Rose Dragon
Rose Dragon is one of Jellycat's long-bodied loll-about dragons — soft pink fur, glitter jersey spines, and wings broad enough to carry writing. That last part is the whole point of this version. Jellycat's own copy for the Huge described "wings you can embroider with a special message," with a choice of fonts and thread colours, which puts it in the small personalised range rather than the general catalogue. Every one that exists was made to order, so no two finished pieces are quite alike, and none of them were ever sitting on a shop shelf.
That also explains why you won't find it at stockists. Personalised pieces were sold direct by Jellycat only. Our checks against Jellycat's live index have come back absent nine times running, and a US snapshot from May 2025 marked it discontinued outright, so the embroidery service for this dragon looks closed. The plain, unembroidered Rose Dragon Huge is a separate item and is a different thing to own — the message is what made this one yours.
- Release date — no snapshot earlier than 2024-06-19, and no release bounds are stored at all. We can't say what year the personalised Rose Dragon first went on sale.
- Whether the personalised range was withdrawn as a whole or this base retired on its own.
- Whether any size other than Huge was ever offered for personalisation — only PERSROSE1DD is evidenced, so we assume no others.
- Secondary-market behaviour: no eBay observations and no price history, and personalised pieces are hard to compare anyway since each carries different text.
- Exact colour wording from Jellycat for the personalised version; 'milkshake-pink with rose-gold wings' appears in copy for the plain Rose Dragon, not this SKU.
