About Alice Axolotl
Alice is Jellycat's hot-pink axolotl, and the one that started the pair — Jellycat's own copy calls her "a whole lot of kooky in hot pink floof," bubblegum-bright, with squidgy-soft feet, a goofy grin and a supercool long fuzzy tail. She waggles her tufty gills, which are the whole point of her: the frilly fringe is what makes an axolotl read as an axolotl, and it's what makes her sit up rather than flop. Her blue sibling Andie arrived after her and is still the easier of the two to find, so collectors chasing the set almost always end up hunting Alice.
She came in two sizes, a Medium (AL3AX) and a Small (AL6AX). Jellycat's own European site had the Medium in stock as late as October 2024, out of stock through 2025, and flagged discontinued by that October — so we can bracket her retirement to roughly that year without pinning a date. Second-hand asking prices for the Medium cluster in the $40–$60 range, tags-on examples higher, but those are what sellers want, not what anyone has paid.
